    Hi all.

Does anyone know how long to get a Page Rank for my site.

My site linkspub.com has been up for over a month now and I still haven't got a Page Rank.

    thanx

PageRank is updated infrequently - no more than 6 times a year.

Updates are not announced officially but you'll see plenty of noise here when it happens.

Don't fret about it. It's the SERPs that matter.

Out of interest - are you using the Google crawl stats and getting good info?

It depends on when the site goes live in comparison to last page rand update and how many links you acquire. If a site goes live just after an update you webmaster goes to work promoting site chances are it will get page rank in next update but if it goes live a week or so before update it and webmasters starts promoting it will probably take at least two updates. That is the past pattern. Bigdaddy may have changed all that. We will have to watch and wait. We just had two updates about a week apart which is not normal at all. Who knows may be the new normal.

It is possible to get page rank in a year.

I have sites that have been up a little over a month and they now have PR4 and PR5 rankings.

As Shannon said, it's all about timing.

And it doesn't matter anyway :)

    SERPs, people, SERPs

    that's what matters!

PR does matter, though. not because there's some inherent value to the green value on your toolbar, but because other people seem to think it's important. it's silly and unfortunate, but link exchanges are going to go a lot better once you've got some PR.

    Thx everyone

    Ok, I have another question.

On some of my main category pages,

eg, http://www.linkspub.com/internet-online/ these are top level category Premium Listing pages that appear before the Free Listing pages.

when I go to site:www.linkspub.com, on google, I get like 128 pages indexed and then when I browse the nav bar, when it gets to page 4, I get a message saying 'In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 37 already displayed.
If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results included'.

The omitted entries that google is talking about is basically just page 1 of those pages waiting to be filled with paid listings. Can that be bad for my pagerank.

    thanks everyone

PR increases by backlinks and if people like your website then backlinks will automatically start coming
