Does anyone know anything about Greek orthidox name days? In Greece if you are Greek orthidox then you are normally given a name that has a day associated with it and on that day you are given presents (your name day). My friend is called Thespina and her name day is August 15th. I'd like to buy her a card and a present but I'm slightly confused. I've tried searching Google for a web site that sells name day card but only found web sites saying Greek people become offended if you send them a card on their name day. Do we have any Greek people on this forum? Why is it offensive to send a Greek person a card on their name day?
