    If you know of every single author out there you're probably a genious. Check out Amazon.com's bestsellers and you may find a lot of authors you never knew of.

    Not old, but my current favorite: Fyodor Dostoevsky

    Dostoevsky is a Russian author from the late 1800's. Currently reading The Brothers Karamazov by Dostoesvky and I highly recommend it
