Please note due to our service issues on 2007-12-18, we will roll out installment payments in January, and not in December as announced in the December newsletter. If you have any questions or comments about the site, please contact customer service. ------------------ This is mentioned in the system log. But I am confused about what installment payments exactly are. Can anyone else comment on this?
It's in the December newsletter: http://www.imnewswatch.com/archives/2007/12/coming_soon_ins.html "Coming Soon: Installment Payments and ClickBank Communications Page One frequently requested feature is right around the corner. By the end of December we plan to release installment payments. Installment payments allow for customers to purchase and access a product, but spread out the payments over a period of time after the purchase. The installment payment feature allows up to four equal monthly payments. Now you can offer products and services with payment options that suit a wider variety of purchasers. Look for details in a future communication. In addition, a "Communications" page will soon be added to the resources section of the ClickBank site. The Communications page will feature links to archives of previous newsletters, as well as links to ClickBank press releases."
does this mean that we will not receive the payment for the period from 1st to 16th December by the end of december? Because ehrn I go to see my paychecks, I do not see the paycheck for Dec 16th listed in there...
Paychecks should not be affected. All they want to tell us is that they are going to introduce new payment option to customers. Installments. That means that you pay for a product in a specific period of time with small amounts. Let's say you bought a product for $50, you are going to pay for it 5 months, each month $10.
that means they would need to remove the $100 affiliate earnings per sale limit because I can't imagine someone paying $37 in 3 installments that would really suck Installmental payments are only good with high priced products
Yes that's true as well but on the bright side you would instantly see much more purchases. So in a way it's going to be really good for most of us. Some people simply do not wish to pay even $50 upfront. Therefore this would be a great new way of capturing missed customers.
i can see ryan that it would be good for customers to buy more often. But do you think refunds would rise, it might end up that people don't like their account being charged monthly and get refunds? This is assuming that they can pick either option. Are in retrospect would this lower refunds, because they will probably go through the "30-60" day guarantees with most products before they pay it off? Other thoughts?
I think its a nice idea for customers, I'm sure you're commission will be paid equally over the installment period though I wonder if this will extend the refund period.
This is great for higher priced items. Although I do believe Veneticuz has a point on the refunds aspect. Would refunds rise because their is a monthly 'reminder' that their getting their account charged? If you stretch a payment to 5 months, how willing would the customer be paying 5 months a denomination of the full amount......would it actually hurt our sales?
