Does anyone know about gas cookers?

Christmas is coming and the cooker's given up the ghost. We've bought a shiny new bottled gas job but we can't get anyone to install it. I didn't really want salad for Christmas dinner, although I should be grateful that I've got enough to eat. Does anyone know of a gas fitter in Cornwall who could help us in our hour of need? I'd be forever in your debt.

Thanks ever so much for this. I've found someone from the trust corgi website who might be able to do it. We'll just have to keep our fingers crossed. If I was a bit younger I'd consider training to be a lady gas fitter. I'd never be out of work!

I had mine fitted by somebody Comet (who I bought it from) arranged. You are right that the fitters have a good gig and I bet a female one would be popular with the women that are home alone when they are coming to fit the cookers.

There is the flip side to that coin of course and that would be the safety of the lone female fitter entering a house ...
