Does anyone know a good program to bild an internal database search engine?

    I think programming or PHP will suit with this topic.

    But if you use MySQL, isn't there query to making search?
    Also if you use oracle, or other database, usually there are built in query to find on the database

    I'd love to know the answer to this question also, I've been tearing my hair out trying to figure this out. After hours of internet searches I just keep coming up with the generic google search box but that's not what I'm interested in, I'd like to have a professional looking result which lists the search results in the same fashion as Best Buy, amazon, ebay etc. I don't even know where to begin. I know it's something about databases but I don't know how to get started.
