Had a rather interesting conversation last night. It all started off with me and my mate deciding not to shave for a month. He has also decided not to drink for ten weeks so thats how we got onto the conversation of other things to give up. My mate is a bit of a hariy geezer and wanted to be allowed to shave his "neck beard". The outcome was that he is not allowed to - could be fun in repelling girlies! Then the conversation went a bit weird(er). We started talking about the social inplications of having a neck beard. Basically he reckoned that having a neck beard would give you kudos. i'm not so convinced. Anyway the conversation moved on a bit an he told me that I'd have much more rep on DP if I had a neck beard. Quite a bold statement I thought! Time to get scientific! The test: To find out whether DP members with neck beards get more rep. So, if you have a "neck beard" please let me know so we can test this theory empirically. The commercial implications of this test could be massive. Imagine the headline: "Research study proves that people with neck beards get more rep - leading to better business" Cheers Notting ps i think me and my mate have gone wrong somewhere along the line in our analytical thinking. We need help.
Justin Timberlake has a neck beard and I must say that it's pretty disgusting. If I saw anyone on DP with a neck beard, I'd probably think "Ew" more than "Hey, I think I'll give him some rep". Plus, they scratch when you're making out. Which would you rather have...a chick to make out with, or a bunch of rep... Doesn't ninno have a neck beard?
Neck beards are to business, what PR is to cholesterol. That's my theory. Anyway, how can you measure it when hardly anyone uses their own picture as an avatar?
