yes we have to care of environment when see what has done by global warming. personally I try to be eco friendly but unfortunately we have energy subsidize here. gas and gasoline is so cheap here. you can buy 10 litters gasoline just by 1 US dollar or our two months gas for house is cost nearly one dollar.
Rob, I think it is GREAT that you care about our environment! I am in the USA and I recycle all our paper and plastic products. Most cities allow you to have a separate trash bin and recycling bin- for paper and plastic. We use less water in our laundry. Shut off any small unused appliances. like our toaster oven, microwave, cable components etc. If it is not being used - it gets unplugged. We also use compost from any veggies or fruit we would otherwise throw away and let the birds and deer (we live in the mountains) eat the larger pieces since we put that around our trees. We have planted 42 different types of trees here on our property. We also use the bath water to water those same trees! Little things make a BIG difference and I would like to applaud your awareness and your actions! We ALL make it better if we ALL do our part!
I feel like the trend is starting to set in. People are starting to take more care in recycling and conserving energy. Blame it on the Celebrities driving priuses and not wearing animal products, but at least people are starting to follow in their footsteps to help take care of our planet.
None of the above helps environment and buying fair-trade products makes it worse ( poor third-worlders get more money--> breed faster) Read the link in my signature
I disagree with you about the plastic bags. I don't claim be to a saint. But I don't take a bag in a small store for a couple of items and I don't double bag. The small saving in bags add up if everyone would start doing it.
We have to do our share in protecting earth because its the only place we can live in. Me and my team go to tree planting activities and other programs that protects our environment.
I've never met anyone who doesn't care about the environment and pollution, but none of the things in the original list are things I consider to be protecting the environment.
The Eradicator, Rob the original poster was trying to get a message across that we all should care about the environment , that he was reducing the amount of energy he is using and helping to to reduce his impact on the environment, what would you consider are the best ways to protect our environment ? I'm doing as much as I can to get everyone to reuse, reduce and recycle. Even building a website aimed at doing just that check my signature for Cyro and come along and join us. I would love to see all of you there. Mike
"if everyone would start doing it" is a beginning of a failure for any initiative. Because everyone WILL NOT start doing it, and that is a rule of a thumb. Now let me ask you this, how much money do you spend buying plastic bags for your trash?
