Hi, Does anyone have any experience developing expandable flash banners for the DART network? We are having problems getting the 300x250 to work properly and have tried various possibilites in which the stage was changed too. When the stage is set to 300x250 (although it expands to 450x300) the proportion/ratio of the banner looks out of place. If we set the stage to 450x300 (maximum size) the 300x250 scenes look squeezed. If anyone has any experience along these lines or has some thoughts as to what we might be missing, please let us know. Thanks for the help.
If you are still have trouble with Expandable Banners, there is a new website products out called www (dot) expandablebanners (dot) com by Melodic Media/JaxCore. You don't need a big advertising company to serve the banners, you can host all files on your website. You can customize the dimensions. (Horizontal, Vertical, Square, Peel, Fullscreen) They use a combination of Flash, Javascript and CSS/DHTML and is compatible with Actionscript 1, 2 or 3 Compatible with IE, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Opera for both PC & Mac You can set a timer to open or close. You can set how many times the banner opens. You can have as many as you want on the same page. These banners overlap content, not to be confused with pushing content down. You will need to create 2 different banners, one in the original size and another in the larger expanded format. Easily add a ‘clickTAG’ to the expanded version banner to track its click-through progress using thrid party software. The scripts are throughly commented and easy to understand Can be integreated into DART (You must have access to change or add the CSS of the website) Our scripts will be useful for many future generations of web browsers. If there is a future problem we will fix it and send you the latest fixes. www (dot) expandablebanners (dot) com - They Work With DART
