I was thinking of offering my ebook design services in this forum, in the category of buy/trade/ services. Does anyone have any success offering their services in here? I'm also looking for affiliates to promote my new site. So does anyone have success in finding affiliates here? How do you go about doing it?

eBook covers aren't the best things to sell. Try: -Banners -Logos -Headers -Templates -Icons People are looking for those, well not so much icons but there are a few people.
Yes anyone can design an E-Book they usually aren't the most visually appealing things but their are many other things that need designed. I haven't sold anything on here but I have purchased a few services from reputable members and it worked out great for me.

Starting out, the more exposure you get, the better. Even if you don't get any buyers the first time, just post again. Popular sites get fully indexed by the search engines so even people searching on Google would find your offer.
offering service as a designer is good but you shouldn't just limit yourself only the Ebooks cover. anything that you can design you can make money. there are many people here earn more than 500$/month for only design job so why not you. ^^
You can be very successful selling services on DP. As far as affiliates, you will get lots of replies but depending what you are looking for, I would select carefully so you do not get a bunch of spammers who will ruin the rep of your site. I would look for members with good rep and good Itrader and view some of that members posting style. You can learn a lot about a person by how they respond to certain threads. When picking affiliates, you always want to look for people who will expand your site and your reputation not just people who are trying to make a quick buck by any means they can.
You can make good money from the Buy/Sell/Trade forum. I have earned a nice amount myself there with coding services.
