Does Anyone Have a Rule of Thumb for CityDomain Values?

Only considering "CityName".com here. Does anyone have a rule of thumb for valuing these. Like "between $1 to $2 per person of population" or something? I'm trying to evaluate one that I have a lead on. I understand that to be a solid appraisal a lot of economic and demographic data would factor in but right now I'm just trying to ballpark the thing!

    Thanks for any suggestions...

There is really no way to assume the value based on population alone. It really depends HUGELY on this city and potential user interest.

A domain is only worth what anyone is willing to pay for it. Any city.com should bring in at least mid $xxx - low $xxxx at an absolute minimum imo

$1 per population You also have to take into consideration that there are more than one town/city with the same name, making it worth more. eg. Portland, OR versus Portland Maine
