Has anyone had any problems getting their Bing Local Listing completed or executed? They mail you a verification letter but when you go to Bing to put your verification code in.....the page simply refreshes and boots you out. No wonder Microsoft can't gain credibility.

I don't get it .. I'm searching for "diet" which is such a popular keyword for advertising .
I don't see any ads on Bing . I mean no ads at all .
And actually for any other keyword for that matter - I just don't see ads on Bing .
Anyone can explain why ?

Update: Ok ... I think I got it . I'm not from US . And by default when I'm entering bing.com , it takes me to my local version of Bing ( Israel) .

When I've clicked a link at the bottom of the page to go to the US version of Bing , the search there returned me ads .
    So it's one of 2 things :

Either publishers just don't target my country for their ads - which is strange .. why to miss other countries and only concentrate on US ( though for sure the biggest traffic comes from US )
    Or
They don't have that option - and the ads can be only displayed in US version of Bing .

I think I'm gonna register with the AdCenter and find that out . I hope they don't block participation for non-Us people ..

Bing is lame. It's a rubbish SE, though I've never used it for PPC.

Bing actually has a pretty good conversion rate for my client's sites even though the traffic is low. Here's our analyze from last year for click through number with keyword at approximately the same average position:

    Google: 15
    Yahoo: 2
    Bing: 1

So in a year if we get 18 clicks, 15 was from Google, 2 from Yahoo and 1 from Bing. But Bing gave us the highest visit / sales. Just too bad we don't get enough traffic from it. Bing has the worst ad editor though. Google and Yahoo both offer offline ad editing tool which you can make mass changes. But for Bing. if you run a lot of ad campaign, you have to change your ad one at a time...

Microsoft must be embarrassed about it or else they’ve stolen someone else’s code and don’t want to draw attention to it, or else it was someone’s spotty younger brother who designed it and they don’t want to have to pay him for it.

Bing is also a great serach engine but it is specialized in topics like travel, health, and etc. In this areas Bing beats Google. Check The Review of Bing

It is likely that in the coming days, Bing and Yahoo! will gain some more popularity as they are including innovative features into their services.

You are not alone because i spent $200 and never made a dime from the clicks. I start to wonder Google's effectiveness.

I’ve heard of Bing I can’t see the term ‘to bing’ replacing ‘to google’ anytime soon. I love google. It serves me well. Won’t be changing unless someone can convince me that Bing, or any other search engine, has major advantages.

I think I'll give Bing a try, if it works fine for me, great... otherwise, there are always alternatives!

well a lot of people have a hotmail account, so when they log out live mail redirects to msn and voila there you'll see bing.
