Does anyone even use Bing?

I had some free ad vouchers so I used them up on Bing (think I have £20 left)

Not 1 customer at all... Was on page one.

The woman who I was on the phone to helped setup the keywords and ads.

Think I may try google, any recommendations?

In Bing, they want me to advertise. They will even run my ads the same day I list them. What a concept.

Bing is more geared towards businesses than affiliate type offers.

Its positioning itself as a buying engine for comparisons, and they striongly favor ads by bug business over the little guy.

Conversions are slightly better than G but the traffic is about 20% of Google.

The one positive is Bing is the only SE with growth, it will be better once the Y acquisition is completed though.

I use bing. Search results are good plus I like the pics they use for the homepage background each day.

Bing has around 10% market share (in the uk at least). Not to be sniffed at really. Sure its no google, but still a good source of traffic. Remember most people are using ie, which defaults to bing.. they don't know any different. Those people generally tend to fall for anything you market to them :)

Yes, more and more people are using Bing, and the CPC is usually lower than with Google. Not much lower CPC than Yahoo, but far less junk traffic.

Use for over a year already. It can add an extra 25% to your overall income depending on stuff your promote!

Haha Bing is such a joke, nobody even cares! The only good thing about Bing is how well it was marketed - which is probably why is has mass hysteria and attention all of a sudden for no real reason. It provides a very decent and likable searching app, but compared to Google nobody will really switch over

So is Bing worth the trouble of advertising on? Ive thought about it, but is the traffic you are getting out of it worth it? If far less junk traffic and a lower cost per sale, Id have to say yes as long as its more than a few sales from it.

I have had very bad experience with google adwords, spent 100 GBP and no sale.

What do you think, is Bing any good?

    Thank you

LIke Yahoo, Bing offers a more refined audience than Google.

Too often competitiors click each others links in Googles adwords to try and use your budget each others budget and raise their advert to the top of the pack for less money.

Unles you are in a non-competitive niche, or have deep pockets try the others - Yahoo search marketing and Bing both offer viable alternatives with less competition, and therefore less people likely to falsely click your links and cost you money.

SEO Universe, very good advise. Probably competitors are clicking my ads hence no sale is made.

I will try Yahoo as you have suggest and will see how it performs.

    Thank you

I've also found Bing visitors convert better for me than those on Google or Yahoo. That is just in my case though, not saying that will be for everyone. ;)

Bing in our experience does carry some quality traffic, this is obvously effected by the sector you are pointing to.

Bing does seem to be used by people who know the internet a liitle better than most, i.e. after they can't find what they want on Google they give Bing a go knowing there are other search engines out there. Thats probably why some people find the traffic seems more like buy traffic. By the time people reach Bing they've refinded their search down to a granular buy point.
