Does anyone even have AdSense secrets?

I see so many forum threads about AdSense which either ask for or claim to offer "AdSense secrets." So I'm curious:

Do you even have any secrets? I'm not asking for what they are, just whether you have any methods or tricks you'd consider to be secret.

I don't have any. Nothing I could share here would help my "competition" in a way that could hurt me, so I'm willing to helpfully share anything I know. But I'm not a big-time AdSense guru.

Individual keywords and niches are secrets, I'm sure. But I'm not counting those little secrets about specific niches -- I'm talking about methods and tricks for AdSense overall.

    Do you have any secrets?

I think most information about optimizing your site for AdSense is readily available on the Web. You could probably find every "secret" on this forum.

Where the secret lies is how you promote your site to view the AdSense ads on your site in the first place.

Nothing with AdSense is secret to the observant webmaster.

Less likely in placement and configurations, but maybe in tools and strategies to promote build and promote the sites.

A agree, there are no secrets. However, there are some OBVIOUS things that people ignore. For example, here is a small tip that lets you easily find out if the niche that you are planning to target is infested with MFAs or not. I've got another post in my blog about another OBVIOUS way to increase your AdSense revenue. If you got to The New York Times site (nytimes.com) and click any long article, you'll see that they split it in pages (Page1, Page2, Page3). Well, I've done that for my AdSense sites. I no longer make my visitors scroll down and down and down. I make them click Next Page button. That increased my impressions by two and a half times and my revenue jumped 25%, because people started clicking ads more often. And there are TONS of very simple tricks like that, but they work very well. Just read blogs related to AdSense, like JenSense.Com or WW AdSense Forum and you'll find out all the "secrets". And secrets often turn out to be the most obvious things that just did not cross your mind.

The only secret I've ever seen is if a certain individual stumbled on a "SECRET" phrase that is raking in the bucks. Those individuals will usually keep that gold mine word/phrase to themselves.
Over a long period of time you will find about 3 or four of these words/phrases and you will have a Adsense Secret too :).

Other than this you can find everything you need just by trial and error - it is amazing how much you can learn by just stabbing in the dark at hairbrained ideas.
And reading the info mentioned above in previous posts also is very important.

Until MFAs find out your secret keyword. I've heard that "forklift" used to be hell of a good niche until a crapload of MFA sites started arbitrage games with the word. Now it's dead.

I heard the text directly under the adsense ad has the greatest influence on what is displayed :) Most people don't know that.

I saw no secret at all. But there are many "Open Secret" around the NET regarding this matter. You can see them if you try harder.

    BTW, happy hunting...

Not sure if this qualifies, but I have noticed a jump in my earnings on the days I place referral button codes on my site. Of course that jump doesn't last long. You could try putting a referral code on your site. Then remove it for a few days and put another referral code on your site. Each time you should see a sufficient jump in your earnings. I think that's google's way of rewarding you.

A noticeable jump. In my case, at least $5 or $6 bucks more than what I earned the previous day. :)

Keep us updated on how it works out for you. I'm about to put a new referral code on one of my pages. I think I'll try the Google Pack code.
