Just wondering if anybody outsources there linking, and how do you track the links you get?

Their are a lot of people here who outsource all or some of the link building. Most link builders will supply you with a report indicating where they submitted your sites to. They also usually agree to check if you already exist in the directory before they submit you.

Once I get their report I match it up against my master report to keep track of my overall link building campaign.

You can look for westhaven, tuning, alfredo and others who do link building and would answer any questions that you may have.

What if you suddenly get too many links - I have heard that you then could get banned from google because they think you are cheating... Is there any subsatnce in this or is it good to go out and spend money on for instance 1000 links?

if this were the case, there would be no way for you to stop your competitor from going out and purchasing 1000 links to your website and getting you banned from google.

To be honest, kausik, it's pretty expensive. You are charging up to $3 for every directory and I know Tuning charges $.45 for similar service.

I've been paying for people to do reciprocal linking for me. I find people on rentacoder.com and while no one has been able to complete a project on time, I am slowly but surely getting links. My last project took over three months when it was supposed to take one, but I ahve gotten about 150 link partners for www.travel-plan-idea.com and my link directory at www.travelplanidea is supposedly getting cleaned up. Overall, I'd rather spend the money than the time...

Do not worry about the getting links too fast thing. There is very little evidence to support this theory and some pretty good examples to the contrary (Press releases that gain a huge number of links overnight).

    Hey Jim,

Mind telling us how much you paid for the job?
(If that's okay with you :)

Sure, and you can look up other jobs on rentacoder.

First I offered 300 for 100 3 way links (travel).
Then I offered 150 for 70 3 way links (webmaster).
Then I offered 150 for 60 3 way links (finance).

As I mentioned, many of the link builders are a bit flaky but it still beats doing it myself.

Anyway, all three of my projects got bidders so those are prices you can attract bidders with.
