Does anybody know what OkCupid is built on?

    Does anybody know what okcupid.com is run on? I know its php,..but any other framework/language ideas for the back end?

    How do you know it is php? All of our ".php" files are .Net not php, the extension is just remapped.

    Only have my PDA with me today so not really suitable for checking site

    not positive it was php, but looked there were a few hints, but im not sure. its built really well and super fast (due to the lack of ads) and other things.

    With the comments in the HTML like <!-- Don't remove without talking to CC --> and <!-- end shit you can't remove --> I think there is a fair chance it has been developed in house.
