Hi everyone, I am pretty new to affiliate marketing. Currently I am on squidoo building lenses while combining my amazon ids as I promote products. So far after 3 weeks, my reserve payment/hopper shows USD 5.75 something.... Im curious if anyone here is on Squidoo too (?) do you use your clickbank or CJ links and combine them in squidoo lenses? I have read positive reviews about Squidoo income wise but it took time to really learn about creating compelling lenses. Today I just read about a lensmaster earning 2K usd for one month just using squidoo I am more than motivated now
I use Squidoo, and make a small but growing income. You are doing quite well to be making over five dollars in one month. It is definitely a great site for beginners, and leads many people to starting their own websites.
It would be wise to use Hubpages along with Squidoo and divide the content you write among them. The you can review the results and stick with the one that's bringing in more income.
During my testing I have found that hubpages index faster. But typically, I find hubpages better as a testing envrioment for finding hot products to promote.
Yes, the content you provide is the most important,no matter is it Squidoo, Hubpages or whatever......
I am very active on both, and make a few hundred dollars per month regularly. Up until Panda, both Squidoo and HubPages were doing very well. I used to be that people could earn the most via HubPages. However, now that Panda has "content farms", and both being labeled as such, they have suffered. Squidoo, not so much. HubPages is down substantially and many of the best and most prolific writers are leaving. It's still worth taking part in both, but probably not with as much effort as I would have suggested earlier. Your primary focus should be on your own site(s).
I have a few lenses but I wouldn't base a large percentage of my business on Squidoo because they can lock your lenses for any reason.
It is not only adult content that Squidoo dislikes. I have had them shut down my lenses in forex and weight loss niches.
I am also on Squidoo. It is a great place to learn and a good starting off point. It is a bit like Middle School for affiliate marketing. Not too basic, but still pretty basic. You can make some money, but not overnight. It takes a longer term committment and being involved over at the community helps. Generally, I have found that Google likes Squidoo alot more than other content sites, especially Hubpages. Like someone else said, it is a good way to test out niche ideas.
I have been promoting amazon product on two sites vamclays.com and bridalchoice.co.uk But till not got any sales on it, Reading this post feels like Squidoo is the best place to sell Amazon.
I have found that Squidoo is good for helping your main site by providing high-authority links back to it.
I use squidoo and I make a regular income from it of about $5 - $10 a month but have started to look into flipping lenses and seeing if I can make money that way. I did sell 4 of my lenses last November and made $200 from them. The thing is this particular Squidoo user approached me and I have found that less people are interested if I say 'hey guys I am selling my lenses does anybody want them?' I guess it may have something to do with the fact that I am now trying to sell them. I will work out something I am sure.
I'm trying squidoo now for the first time and I'm hoping to get some success from it. It is so easy to use and to build good content.
