Does anchor links in forums considered as bought?

Following my previous post about "losing my 1st place" i concluded that one of the best ways to get incoming links is with anchor links in dofollow websites and forums.

My question is though:
Does that break Google's webmaster NoNo rule about buying links, is that considered buying links?

 

no signature links are not considered as paid links.

The signature links in most of the forums, including dp is do follow. Links with no follow attributes do not improve the PR of your site...

 

And they are most defintely not breaking google's rules about buying links?

Great question! I've wondering this myself!

Just curious -- by why would you think it'd be considered a paid link if the forum is free?

Also (and I don't mean to hijack the thread, but thought it was related enough to ask here) do multiple posts count as multiple links if the signature file shows up more than once? Or does the link in the signature file just count as one link no matter how many posts someone has? (Oh, and what about if the link is in the body of the post itself -- does that change things?)

 

LOL, good question... Some seo companies offer this service of forum anchor linking, thats why I'm acting kinda jaded about it.

And i think few links in one page is only being considered as one....
