Does an increase in webmaster tool backlinks trigger Google dance?

    My site is ranking number 12 in my main keyword for a week now. But when I checked my ranking today, it jumped down to rank 42. When I checked my webmaster account, I found out that the number of backlinks have increased for more than a thousand.


    Does an increase in webmaster tool backlinks can trigger Google dance?


    Or is this the Google Panda Update 3.9?
