I have been watching the news which often tell about the economy of U.S falling down..and the gas going higher and higher. Do you think this could influence Google?
This could shrink the budgets of the AdWords advertisers. If that happens Google will SmartPrice just everyone to try to find an excuse to pay less and less. After all it won't affect Google but the poor AdSense publisher
well then rather become an advertiser...But I think that Google advertisers come from all countries..not just U.S
I guess it will affect, USA economy is the main stay of the world's economy, any slow downs will definitely affect the rest of the world. The first thing companies cut during a recession/slow down would be the marketing budget. Google will certainly be affected. Secondly the gas or rather the energy prices are going haywire. Google depends on a huge network of servers to power its search applications. The running costs will definitely go much higher. These two will affect Google slowing down its momentum. But given Google's ability to innovate, I won't feel surprise if they come out with great results capitalizing on other opportunities that might have arise.
I think US advertisers will pay less. If AdWords charges in USD, the foreign advertisers will jump on it.
It might have the opposite effect, more people are driving less and could end up turning to the web to get stuff instead of driving to the shopping center, using netflix insted of going to the movies etc...
