    But watch out and don't put too many keywords in alt text because you could be accused of alt text spamming.

    The answer is YES, but it comes as among the lowest priority. If you don't really have many things left to do with your website (and just watching the money comes in), you can do alt-image one by one just to follow the recommendations.
