Does Alexa Rank effect Google PR

My website currently has a PR4 and well positioned in google, I have also been looking at improving my alexa rank (currently positioned round about 145,000).

Will improving my alexa rank help towards, serps and pr? also a alexa rank of 145,000 - is this any good

Alexa have nothing to do with Google, that's just a "rank" group.
They gather the "rank" from the users who use Alexa ToolBar.

You will see a website with rank 500.000 and he have traffic of 10k/day and website with rank 7.000 and have traffic of 8k/day.

All depends on your website needs - webmasters or normal users.

 

those things come together. if you have good traffic, that means you have a good alexa rank and good positions in SERPS.

Regarding the PR thing,it's all about backlinks.

Alexa is what Alexa Toolbar says .. (i.e.... its like ranking between all all the users who browse alexa toolbar).

 

Google pr only supported by backlinks.So just keep your site nice backlinks,Alexa Rank is nothing to google pr.

 

Google and Alexa is two different search engines with different algo, but the main point is both are count visitor traffic details and backlinks. Both have own toolbar, Google is more likely use by webmaster then alexa, all traffic details come from that toolbar, so, don’t bother about alexa traffic rank. Do nice back link and make authority website. Your alexa traffic is automatically come up with google page rank.

 

Nope, PR is only based on backlinks. however, Alexa Rank is only based on traffic.

 

I just know that it gather data from Alexa toolbar. I thought that it get data from all the traffic in the internet which was quite weird.

Alexa is hard to get up if your users don't use the toolbar unfortunately since its how they base their ratings.

I've been trying for a bit, I want to review products on my site later on but my rank is 1,251,978 and alot of sites like a ranking of 100,000 or less to consider you to review their products =[

 

EnhanceSEO, I thought the same thing too about Alexa,
but for sure, it doesn't help your site ranking and search results.
It may helps, if you are trying to sell textlinks, banners, or sell the site. People will look your alexa ranking for your site stats, but how many people are using Alexa toolbar? So that stat is not 100% right.

 

if you want to get more traffice justfocus on building links to improve your PR. Alexa rank is not so important and even dont bring much trafic to your site.
