Basically I'm thinking Adwords use keywords similar to the ones I have chosen instead of the actual keyword. Is this true, and is there a way to stop it? I ask this because here are the 12 clicks I paid for today: website writers - 2 clicks seo writer - 2 clicks writers freelance - 2 clicks writer articles - 2 clicks content writer - 1 click article writer - 1 cilck newsletter writers - 1 click seo article writing - 1 click and here are the search terms that wordpress is saying brought people to my website today: Search Views oil and gas newsletter writers in canada 2 article rewriter 2 seo writers 2 chicago area+freelance grant writers 1 freelance writing 1 freelance business copywriters 1 write articles for money 1 website content writing 1 writers websites 1 sites like urbis for writers 1 how to write seo article 1 http://www.professional article rewriter 1 seo content writing services 1 hh;//student skill writer.com/essay.hmt 1 leading mining newsletter writers in the 1 As you can see, they aren't exactly the same. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Now that I look at it together like that. The keywords are included in what people were searching for. Is there any way to change it so they only show up if they search for my exact keyword?
Oh so it works just like if you are searching for something on google? If I do "SEO writer" as one of my keywords will I only get people who put quotes around SEO writer or also people that just search for SEO writer? Also, would someone who searched for "how to become an SEO writer" show up?

Adwords matches keywords 3 ways - if you only want your ad to be triggered by people typing exactly what you choose, it's an exact match. A phrase match can have other words on the beginning or end, a broad match can trigger your ad for similar terms that are not in your keyword list at all. The control rests with you to pick the type of keyword match you want.
I would make your ads more specific. With 2 keywords, there are a lot of chances that people will be searching for longer tail keywords. This means that all they have to do is have "newsletter writer" in this order and you will show up for this"oil and gas newsletter writers in canada," So what you need to do is put in negative keywords, but it would be hard to think up all the keywords, unless you want to wait until they click on your ad. Or you can target phrase or exact matches like magda said.
