if you want to advertise at facebook then I suggest you to advertise for your fanpage. because you can earn from them for very long time. increase fans and post your product or articles time to time with interesting text in fan page. direct advertisement will give you traffic for just few time and most of all its costly.

It depends on what products your selling but I happen to know some who does advertising in Facebook and has success on it. But it really depends on what type of traffic you need for your products

I tried a few ads and they did not product anything. I really think people don't go on to facebook to click ads and buy things. I suppose it depends on what you are advertising and if you send the traffic to your facebook or website.

As said before: get an up-to-date Facebook fanpage. People will 'like' your company, and it's easy to send a message to all your customers. Lead them to convertion: let them buy your product and tell them why it's important.

This is much more effective rather than advertising your website on Facebook. For that you need to use Google.

As mentioned previously, it will really depend on the products or services you are advertising. For the products we sell, we do get an overall decent ROI, with some campaigns performing a lot better than the others. A old client advertised her massage services, and got an amazing ROI (spent $20 got 3 paying customers ($150)), while a friend has been advertising her facebook fan page getting a number of fans but no sales whatsoever.

Yes it does help if you are looking for a specified target of people for your niche. You can even select by country and various other types of search. At first, if you are new to Facebook advertising, I would advice you to go for a smaller plan. There are millions of users on Facebook and if you wanna advertise your product/company through Facebook then Facebook advertising is the best option. I am saying this because facebook has already disabled the option of 'suggest to friends' on a fan page and slowly they are also implementing new rules of posting stuff on any fan page walls. So eventually this fan page promoting stuff for free is going to be dead, so there is only one way to do promoting on facebook 'for free' that is viral marketing.

This might take ages to gather the amount of traffic and sales we want from Facebook, so its advertising is the best option now ;)

I heard that facebook advertising is stopped now for google adsense ads websites. Is it true? Please confirm the same. I would like to start if there is a chance to advertise the websites which contains google adsense ads.

I've been using facebook for advertising. And nothing else. It's very useful and the only way to go.

Do you mind sharing what your CTR / Conversion rate is. Also how much you pay and if its impressions or clicks. Thanks :D

Depending on a few factors and how competitive your niche are to find out how much you need to pay for your bidding. Facebook is the biggest advertising platform online and I don't see why you shouldn't jump on it and learn as you go. I have many success on running facebook ads campaigns.

Yeah I think it really matters on what you are selling, whether it is a product, service ect... They do have some pretty cool tools to narrow down exactly who sees your ad. Give it a shot and see what happens. Either way you will get your product/service exposed even if they don't buy.

I have only a little bit of experience with FB PPC adverts, but I would suggest a few things:

    1) it might be best to advertise your FB Page rather than your website. Driving traffic, as I hear it, to a Page is cheaper than sending it to a regular non-FB url.
    2) as someone pointed out, people on FB aren't typically in buying mode, so I'd say (and I have heard from people who know that this is true) that some of the best products to advertise on FB are hobby-related products and services (golf, gaming, etc.). People w/ hobbies will typically spend money on that hobby
    3) the graphic you use on the ad is very important. That grabs attention, apparently more than the text. Makes sense to me. I would choose vividly colored graphics. Where graphics of people can be used, attractive males/females (apparently females work best, obviously w/ male audiences for the most part), but don't make the pics overtly sexual or the like as the ad will be turned down
    4) if you work in certain niches (small parts of a market), be careful you don't violate FB rules for ads. Diet and fitness-related products can be rough as far as ad approval as FB is very conscious that the ads don't contribute in their wording or graphic to making people feel badly about themselves. I know this from experience.

I hope that is helpful to you. Good luck if you decide to give it a try! :)
