Nope.. you cant alter any portion of the code.

 

Yes they allowed it,just go to color pallete setting and create your blending color then save and named it.Then when you create referall 2.0 code just choose the pallete color.

It is not Google's policy that is confusing, they allow referral ads to be blended, just like regular ads.

It is the user interface that is confusing. The way to change the color palette for referral ads is a little "advanced options" link. People miss this and think that the color on referral ads can't be changed.
