I am having a strange problem with two home pages on two of my sites. I just started developing a bunch of mini sites and most are fine but two of them when I go to put AdSense on they don't display what they are supposed to display. One site is a dating site and Adsense displays a link to "Book on Sexual Disorders" And that's all! Who wants to see that when they come to a dating site...lol Now the second site is an Asian site for Asian social networking and Travel. And on its home page all it ever shows is a PSA link. And its been 2 days now. Now, this problem is only on these 2 home pages, on all other pages Adsense show all the correct keyword links. Does Google AdSense have a problem with Asian and Dating sites? I have done everything from changing keywaords, to even go as far to delete the sites and change nameservers but no matter what I do Adsense shows the same things on these two sites. And they wont go away. Any ideas? Thanks Len
If I'm understanding you right your saying that you don't like the ad's that are being shown on your websites? It's just a matter of what keywords you are using. If you use the word 'sex' more then a few times, then advertisers that are targeting that keyword will get their ads displayed on your site. I do know that adsense does not have a problem with dating sites. If they have a problem with what you are doing, you will either get smart priced (which just lowers how much you get paid per click), or you'll just get banned.
I think you are misunderstanding me. Its not a matter of that I dont like what they are displaying, no matter what keyword I use (and i have even tested words like iPhone, iPod ect) it Always comes up "Book of Sexual Disorders" period. And like I said about the Asian site, it has been the same plain PSA ad for 2 days. And there I have also changed the keywords many times. Something else is up.
Ah yeah I see what you are saying. It does take some time for adsense to adjust the ads, but you said you've deleted the sites and had them re-indexed. In my experience with adsense I've allways had some controll over what ads were displaying. It just would take up to a week at times before they would change. What keywords are you changing? Google looks at the content for the entire page to decide what ads to display. Have you tried changing the entire content of the page? All the text, tags, etc?
I appreciate the advise. I have changed the meta tags but it doesn't help. Its funny because I have 10 other sites up so far and all of the AdSense ads on all of those immediately conformed to my keywords. Its just these same two sites.
If you have 10 other sites then it sounds like you know what you are doing with adsense. It's not all about the meta tags though. If you say: "You should sign up asian dating because blah blah blah blah blah, and get a discount now to meet people in your area blah blah....." Google looks at that as well.
