I'm new to all this, been only a few weeks, seeing people visiting my blog but still this whole business is yet to make a believer out of me. What say you.

Depends how much you earn per day, if you earn $50 bucks a day then they pay enough, if you earn $1 a day then its not enough.

It is depend on your targeted traffic. Example, adult webmaster prefer adultfriender. Adsence is a good revenue program. The key here is web traffic.

    The key here is:
    1. Content
    2. Massive Traffic

Yes, it pays. You must be ready to put in a lot of work, however. :)

Adsense has always been my most consistent earner. I've been using it since 2003, and it is always reliable income for my content sites. I try to balance it out with some banner ads and affiliate programs.

Affiliate programs have much more potential... but they are also much more work to find the right one that pays, etc. Adsense is no work, and it earns for you right from the start (if you have traffic).

    Good luck!

Expect that 1-10 people clicks out of 100 people. Then if you have 100 visitors daily, you can get 1-10 clicks. If every click gives you 0.10$ then you will get 0.10-1$ from that day. And at the end of the month, you will most probably get sth like 3$-30$. So i guess you see the whole picture.

To earn more money from the scenario above, you will need to increase traffic, content and backlinks.

And yes, adense pays good compared to its international alternatives! If you find better ways to earn money from your web site, go on and use it. But those methods will not be obvious and most probably you will hide that method once you found it, just like other webmasters here :)

In my opinion, adsense is one of the easiest and open-to-everyone methods to earn from a web site.

I have to second the comments about quality and quantity. The more quality content you have leads to ore visitors which in turn will lead to more clicks and more money.

    Yep... Content+traffic/Adsense=good earnings
If you have a site that you can push referrals with, you can even make more - since referrals are PPA (not PPC), you can attract attention to them and they pay more..
Adsense is the easiest.. just set it and forget it.. Ypn is just as easy, but it sucks (for MOST sites).. CPA affiliates like CJ and Azoogle take more work..

Well, people make $50k+ each month from it, so obviously if done right, you can make some extra cash. However, do it because you like it or because it interests you, don't do it just to make money.

I'd say AdSense is rather convenient, but affiliates tend to pay much more.

There are a lot of factors to determine if adsense would work for you or not. For example, adsense is not recommended for tech-related sites because the Cost per click is pretty low and tech-savvy people refuse to click Ads.

It also depends on how much you match it to your site's color scheme. You literally have to trick people to click ads to get a descent revenue. Apparently because Ad-blindness is prevailing and since the adsense layout is static and unchanging, people have the instinct to avoid ads.

Section targetting is a good method to get more CTR. You can make adsense serve relevant ads so that your audience would like it and click it. And, adsensen00b, massive traffic, in the sense, unproductive traffic won't do you any good. But massive targetted traffic works.

Targetted traffic is the key, I guess.

Well, it can. We all know there quite a few people on DP alone that earn thousand every month. They do get lots and lots of traffic, though.

I don't know about anyone else but I've found that I've had a small but steady increase in AdSense earnings since I started. It took ages to get to the first $100 but since then my earnings have gone up just a little bit each month. I do put in a lot of work on the website and keep it up to date as well as adding new material once or twice a week. I would say keep at it and eventually your hard work will be rewarded. I'm nowhere near the thousand a month mark yet though and I think that might be a long time coming.
