Does Adsense prevents advert blending?

I was just setting up some adverts for a site I'm rolling out and for some reason the colour I pick for the title is not the colour displayed on the adverts. I was trying to get a deep red (#990000) and the adverts display a pinkish colour (#bf6161) which looks really bad. The thing is some of the text on the site is the same colour as I wanted the title of the adverts and I was wondering if this is the reason why the adverts won't turn out as I wanted them too? It's not like I'm trying to hide them they are clear to see at the top of the site the chance of accidentally clicking the advert are nil it's just I wanted them to look like part of the site and not stick out like a sore thumb.

Not a straightforward answer (typical of AdSense). On the one hand they recommend blending as a useful optimisation technique. On the other hand they say anything that misleads the visitors into clicking ads is against the rules - blending also falls into this category, depending on whose opinion you ask. What I can say is that most people blend and very few have any problems from Google.

Yeah, I use blend my ads into the background on my site, but I don't think they will mislead visitors.

You can see what I mean here: etblogdaily.blogspot.com

Thanks for the replies but the thing is, is it actually possible to completely blend an advert any more because of like I had said for some reason the adverts were not displaying the colour I had chosen?

Hey, im currently having the same problem. If i choose any link color, that is the same as any of the link colors defined in my style sheet, they appear much lighter, like they are faded, so they arent the same color as the links on my site. even if no links on that particular page are the same color, if its set in the style sheet, they fade my ad link colors, so they arent the same as any of the styles i defined for my entire site. really kind of annoying.

Are you sure you use the same color? Since I face no problem with the ads color even I use non standard color.
