Does Adsense, Casale & ValueClick accept Turkey traffic?

    Hi,

    I have a question, which I don't 100% know the answer off.

I was wondering if Adsense, CasaleMedia and ValueClick accepts traffic from Turkey.

The reasons for this is not because I live in Turkey as I am from the UK. I have a site where I don't mind anyone seeing it practically no matter where they are from and I have now found some reasonally priced advertising on a site that gets about 80% of their traffic from Turkey and is most probably a site located and hosted in Turkey.

I'm asking this because I don't want to break any TOS. I have look at the TOS of Casale and couldn't find anything mentioning about where you traffic has to be from.

I am pretty sure that Adsense accepts traffic from turkey... In fact, just about any country. The ony thing I would worry about is that the ad supply may be a bit shy in turkey, since most ads are advertised in english language only. Or french only etc.

What language do they speak in Turkey, anyways?

I don't really know what language they speak. I just really wanted to know if these ad companies accept traffic from this country before I look further into it.

I thought Adsense would be alright, but what about the Casale and ValueClick CPM Networks?

you're best bet may be just to e-mail their support team and ask. I am sure they will more than be happy to answer any question, especially if it means you could potentially join their programs.

Yes - alot of advertisers advertise by country.

For instance, for alot of dating sites, for marketing reasons US traffic can be converted better into paying subscribers than customers from other sites. Therefore they will start two or more campaigns - 1 which they will compete for US traffic, and be willing to pay more for a click, and one or more for itnernational traffic, in which they pay less, because the traffic is less valuable to them.

Hope that clears it up a bit!

Turkish is the official language. It is spoken by about 55 million people in Turkey and another million in Bulgaria, Greece, Cyprus, and Macedonia.

I thought it may have been turkish. I can get cheap advertising, but I am now starting to thing that the money on the ads will not be all that high, so I could end up making a loss, plus my site is in English.

I guess I will have to give this one a miss.

Thanks anyway for your great help.

donnareed: Thanks for the answer. I didn't actually know, although in hindsight it seems rather obvious.

john269: Keep in mind, the turkish market may not have alot of advertisers, but if you are on the advertising end of it, that is quite an uncrowded market.

While you may not make as much with Adsense as you would otherwise, you *could* redirect that traffic to an affiliate program which is language or country-targeted at turkey. It is almost guaranteed that that would be an underserved niche, and you could make alot of money from it.

For example, this would be a good program to send Turkish Visitor to: http://www.turkishpersonals.com/personals/affiliate.cfm?siteIDD=71

I hope this is helpful to you. If you have more questions, don't hesitate to ask. I think you have a unique opportunity in your position, and I would hate to see you squander it!

If you are unsure of affiliate marketing, look for the 'n00b's Winter Affiliate Challenge' - it has *alot* of useful information.

    Good Luck!

    Thanks!

I am not really bothering with the advertising on the sites that have mainly visitors from Turkey. If I get turkey visitors on my site then that is nice, but I would prefer most of my traffic from the US, Canada, UK and Australia, etc.

Also, I know alot about affiliate marketing. I have now been doing it for 4 years and have built up an affiliate programs directory.

Thanks for the help anyway. The advertising by the way would have been on free online games sites, so I wouldn't think that traffic would convert to much. It would have also been going to my free online games part of the site so it would have been targeted, but I only earn from this section of my site through ads. That is why I was asking about turkey visitors and them CPM networks and Adsense and things.

I have decided to now purchase the cheap advertising anymore. I prefer to mainly target US, Canada, UK and Australia visitors. The reasons for this is because my sites are mainly targeted to these. If I had Turkey visitors then I would have just sent them to the games section of my site so that they could play the free online games and hopefully earn a little from Adsense, but now I have decided to leave this option out.

    Thanks anyway.
