Does Adsense ban me for Duplicate Content

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by eyashwant, Nov 13, 2009.

I want to have a site with 100s of articles, ebay, amazon, clickbank posts...which includes all duplicate contents. I may write 6-10 unique every month but. So just want to know if I will get banned before I start.

So have you tried and what is the solution?

I know many use duplicate content with adsense...so is it not a problem?

But I can find millions of articles saying that adsence will ban if the adsence staff visits the website and sees duplicate content...I am just worried about it as all internet has the same thing

you won't get banned, but if using dup content you will be penalized and receive much lower traffic, if your stealing content from other sites, they know who had the content originally and... not a banable offense but why would you use dup content in the first place ?

So penalized means from search engines?
I dont do SEO at all. I dont worry even if my domain is banned in Search Engines
I will get 3000 uniqe visitors and earn from them using my own source
So traffic is not a matter
All that matters is adsence and duplicate content
I think from all that you say, adsence dont mind duplicates at all

Then it is well and good
But in their TOS they said no duplicate content
That and all internet says the same
That is what made me worry

    1)RSS Feeds of top websites
    2)Yahoo answers
3)Amazon listing with ratings and reviews
4)Youtube Videos with description and comments
    5)etc,.

    So I found http://www.google.com/dmca.html

I suggest you ask this question in the official Adsense forum.
There you will find many publishers have lost their accounts because of copied content.
You will find that original and not copied content is part of the Google webmasters guidlines that applies to Adsense publishers.
I know many publishers get away with Adsense on sites with copied content but many more are getting banned once they reach the $100 mark.

in terms of text content, adsense is not something you worry about. if you plan to promote your site through search engines, then a site with duplicate content will not help you much. if you however have copywrited music or video from youtube or other popular sites, you will get in trouble

I suppose that you will get banned if the real owner of those articles report your site to Adsense team.

    no problem for adsense
no problem for getting search traffic too [unlike most people have said here] if used in the way it should be.If you just post articles without any changes then there is no advantage.

Hmmm....That is what makes chill run down by back. I have an account with 60$. I worked for an year to get that. I just dont want to waste that by getting banned.

I am not going to promote through search engines. So you say text is not a problem? Only videos and music? If so I will not use any videos and music... But text content is really essential

    The point is simple money

Yes. But I want to ask you one thing. What if I get articles from articlebase.com
They wanted others to copy and use their content. That is why it is published there ri8? But the only thing is they have to retain the links, and we dont. Many are doing that. Mostly everyone does that. More over I will use yahoo answers to get some content and yahoo allows that with or with out powered by as per their terms

I wont click. It is all good traffic and targeted.

May I know what is the way it has to be? More over I wont make any changes. I will just post it as such.

Good. But all said I will get banned. Only you are saying bro :(
50% are saying I wont. 50% are saying I will get banned. Some are saying that until the owner reports you will not get banned.

Actually I will get contents from top sites like problogger.com etc,. Top 10-20 sites of my niche. More over I will write 6:100 ratio. 6 Unique articles and 100 duplicate articles.

So I have answered to all your opinions. Hope soon I will get some good final answer to my question...

Many controversy putting me in confusion...

I am not sure about that. All I am doing is starting a blog with "technology" as niche. All related o computers, laptops, phones, etc,.

I just want to make it a big blog. Not sure about keywords, etc,.

What I am doing is correct or wrong?

You will be using copied content.
The chances are you will get banned once you reach the $100 mark.
I have seen it time and time again on the Adsense forum with publishers complaining that they have lost their accounts. When we checked their blogs the only thing we could find wrong was copied content, be it text, photos or videos. As you know Google do not specify why you have been banned and many people assume it is for invalid clicks. To get banned for someone click bombing your site is very rare and unless you have clicked your own ads it rarely applies.
I have tried to give this advice before on this forum, have been ignored and next thing the poster has complained he has lost his account .

that mean even google do not ban you at the beginning, but when the time you require your check, you will check you websites/blogs and most probably you will lost your account caused by the duplicated content.. am i right?
