Does ad targeting get better over time?

how long does it take for 'optimum' ad targeting with Ypn? are the ads the same after 1 hour as they are in 1 day, or 1 week?

Yes, I'm wondering about it myself, I just switched to YPN recently and on some pages the ad isn't really what it's supposed to be. I know from the FAQ that they say they'll display all kind of ads of the same category and just display the one that'll make us the most money over time.

Hopefully it doesn't take too long.

One question though, do you use the ad targeting tool provided?

If so, how do you configure it? I use the domain to target all the pages in my domain but only the ads on the index page displays what I wanted.

They usually use a mix of Ron ads and targeted ads

Mine is better today. I wish I didn't clicked on my own Adsense which resulted me in being banned.

The ad targeting was terrible for me. I kept getting a bunch of DATE FAT WOMEN ads on my site. Also, the lag in reporting was frustrating. I understand YPN is on the West coast but I finally gave up and made the switch back to Adsense. :(

I've noticed 2 things about the YPN ads -

    1. Frequently, the first ad block shows ads that are NOT targeted at all, and the second ad block (first refresh) shows ads that ARE well targeted. (This is bad because only a few browsers will hit refresh, resulting in a much lowered CTR.) This seems to me to be a pretty big problem. Adsense does it too, but not as frequently.

    2. Frequently, the top ad in a block of 4 (336, for instance) is NOT targeted, and the second ad down is VERY WELL targeted. Why is the most targeted ad not shown first, on purpose? This policy also results in a lower CTR. Google always puts the cherry on top, in my experience.
