    Please look at http://workathome.mak-doodle.com

I just added the picture ad block on the right hand side. Do you think it makes the center where my content is look/feel weird? I am undecided.

CLR so far today seems to be about avg, so adding it has not impacted revenue in a positive or negative way - but will need to track for a few days to see.

Ya maybe you should try and center the page in the center (if that made scene to you) the whole page seams to be on the left side.

i hate to break it to you but your site isn't that pretty anyway. it seems like all there is is ads. you need to add some more content, and a tool bar to make your site easier to navigate, unless you made the site so you could display ads on it.

no, site is made for content. but what I am not is a developer. I am trying to get to site concept outlined then will hire a real developer to make it "pretty". But I added the ads to the right hand side and it seemed to much to me too.

thanks for the feedback, I took the right hand side ad off - it made the whole page feel like an add.

add1t - can you put a link to your website for an example please.

trying to work out what I want so when the time comes to hire a developer I know.

    thanks

seems that "ads by google" is hidden under other ad on top link ads. you might get in trouble for that.

The Adsense on the left change the link titles to blue so they match the other links on your site.

Also you REALLY need some content on your site. Unless you add some good content you can forget about it ever doing good.

Ads make your site look bad only if someone who knows about ads is looking. Ordinary visitors (organic traffic) don't really pay attention to that -- that's why they click on your ads.

First thing to do is center it. Also add a light color background instead of white. Make it appealing to visitors not yourself. Your adds look fine to me.

Interesting, I have been playing with background colors and it is amazing how I can impact the CTR depeneding on the colors I use. Even though I am not developing this primarily as an adsense site - It is nice to maximize that revenue source. If you visit the site now the colors I am running today seem to be the best combo.
