Does a redirect provide SEO juice?

I need some help here - My website provides resume and cover letter templates. I was looking at becoming an MS template partner - which I will probably try and do regardless. They allow partners to create a landing page that is integrated into the MS Office portal, but i noticed that the links to partner sites have a redirect. I'm wondering if these pass link juice. Here is a sample page:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/marketplace/EY011170601033.aspx

Just to clarify, I'm looking at the 2 big links to Monster and CareerPerfect. If you view source, the link looks like this:
< a href="/search/redir.aspx?AssetID=XT011171181033&CTT=5&Origin=EY011170601033"

(I don't know why, but I feel like I should know this and I'm feeling a little stunned asking)

Nothing beneficial for SEO will be obtained from a redirect.

It depends on which type of redirect it is...
If its perm redirection i.e. (301) then its Good for SEO
Else if its then it is of no use. !!

The type you're talking about does not pass any backlink juice.

I think it should be 301 instead of 401 :D
