does a rating system influence SE ranking

    Is anyone having knowledge if a rating system can influence the SE ranking of your website. I see that for the keyword I'm testing some of the websites who ranked high in the first page have a meta tag:

    <meta http-equiv="PICS-Label" content='(PICS-1.1 "http://www.classify.org/safesurf/" L gen true for "http://www.......com" r (SS~~000 1))'>

    or something similar from another rating service

    i think no.Search engines pay more attention towards content and page popularity than these kind of rating system.

    I think Yahoo uses it. Not sure on the others.
