Hi I am also facing the same issue for my site. still i am looking for an answer, the follwoing is based on my experiments on my site.. if you are at 3 page. let say all the links between 1page to 3page are all only beating you with page rank you may come to first page because your page rank will be revised based on the new link from Pr9 site if the links between 1-3page are good in content and all are optimized for keywords you will not see any improvment as you need to still revise your page for the content and if you are seeing some improvement thats because the content you have beaten is just equal or slightly above equal to your page i will advise you to optimize your page first for the keywords and revise your content to be more readable with proper keywords, then the PR should work like a charm.
Tt can help if there is good anchor text on the link but you need hundreds of them to rank 1 for a high competitive keyword on Google
Common people...there sure are a lot of cynics in here... A PR9 .gov link with anchor text! I would give my left eye for that link (not quite) TAKE IT. You will see for yourself. There's a reason why people buy those links!
it was no guarantee for excellent rankings even you get PR 9.its all about backlinks for your site.but it really can increase your PR in next update.
exactly my thoughts lol it's a PR9 .gov homepage link, and they have only 5 external links right now to quality websites. It's not like it's a link farm! That should be a major boost in my rankings and PR right?
Right, people lie about pagerank and serp but still continue to buy high PR links. It is guaranteed, and I guarantee by myself you will be in top soon if you did good keyword analysis and put neccesaary keyword percentage in your website.
YES ! PR9 link is guarantee to you on 1st page of Google provided : the link is from related very little competition
The whole thing depends on various factor , Depends what the anchor text is , depends if the link is placed in the sidebar or footer or in content . If the page you getting the link from is relative or not . It might not guarantee , because I don't know what the competition is like . But it may surely help !
everyone's saying there's no guarentee, but in my experience it is very likely to boost your position. If you are on page 3 for example it could well put you on page 1.
PR9 link won't guarantee u anything, but if u get one, it will help u with the credibilty in G's eyes.
IMO, even these two are meet, it still hard to say. Just imagine, what will be the case if your site is crap?
