    In the old days of the wild west known as the web the web police of one of the very few TLD services that charge body parts for a name actually gave me guff about a registry I wanted but they do not anymore.

    Although just the other day I registered a .US name and I had to verify that I was a US citizen, and so forth.

    That is the only restriction still held that is on a open name I know of.
