This is an analytics question. I figured Google was the best place to ask, so if it need to be moved that's AOK with me.

Does a nofollow link result in being direct traffic in analytics? Or does analytics still report where the traffic is coming from?

I'm asking this cause i've had a recent surge of British traffic that goes hand in hand with a surge of direct traffic. So I have no clue where they are coming from f'real.

a nofollow link just means that the spiders won't follow that link. if someone clicks on that link to your site analytics will still log it.
