Hello people, I was just wondering if a link unit counts as an ad? Here's what is says in G's program policies: Ad Placement * Up to three ad units may be displayed on each Web site page. * A maximum of two Google AdSense for search boxes may be placed on a page. * A single link unit may be placed on each Web site page, in addition to the ad units and search boxes specified above. Link units are considered to be 'Google ads' for purposes of these program policies. Is using 3 ads and a link unit common and is it acceptable?
Short answer: yes. A link unit is like the one you see at the bottom of your post here on this thread. An ad unit is like the one you see on the top-right corner of the forum - and they come in all sizes. Mix and match, go crazy. Whatever. Maximum of 3 ad units plus 1 link unit, plus one product referral per product *on any one page*.
Thanks for the reply mooiness. Anyone else care to confirm. (not that I don't think you're not right mooiness. I just want to make sure)
A link unit needs to clicks for the publisher to be credited. The first click leads to the ads, the subsequent click leads to payment.
