I was always told that if i was to improve my google pagerank the traffic would come to my website. So i improved my keywords on each and every page, including my forum and although traffic as improved a little it hasnt improved greatly. So does the PR of your website actually have anything to do with your traffic? And if not what does? How would i get this traffic i want?
That is untrue. PR does not have an effect on traffic. You need to build links to your site to get more traffic. This is not how you improve your PR.
Im sorry but maybe i didnt explain myself properly. I did improve keywords as i thought this was part of it, however i traded links, i add my content to social websites like digg and google. What else could i do?
pr and traffic both are different, pr means how much links u r site had and traffic will come based on your rank of keyword which people search.
There are som free tools to research good keywords. http://www.google.com/insights/search/?hl=en-US# http://www.google.com/trends http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/ If you use these tools wisely together you will get a quite good idea about the KWs that are used for search.
I think that you need to increase traffic is backlink, keyword and SEO. You have good keyword but you don't have good backlink it means you will not get traffic, it also the same to other aspect backlink and SEO. Backlick, SEO and Keyword must work together.. to get traffic. Your target to get traffic is to be in the top ten. If you have to be in the top ten.. automatically you will get traffics.
I believe the serp is affect by the pr, so you will get more traffic from google for higher pr, but it also based on specific keywords as well.
The amount of traffic you depends on how much traffic is potentially available in your niche. You could have high PR and be #1 in Google for decent keywords and still not get any traffic. The Google Adwords Keyword tool mentioned above by fadetoblack22 can give monthly search volumes but in my experience the figures are likely to be somewhat high.
PR and traffic were interrelated few years back. But, I think now these terms have been misunderstood. Look, the more links you create the more traffic you get and higher PR. But, people forget about making more and more links. They make only few links to get higher PR then how you can expect traffic from few links, so I will say that PR and traffic are not interrelated these days.
PR and traffic both are 2 different things. Yes it is said that you will get good traffic if you improve your PR because to gain PR one have to work for links and to links do provide you with the traffic. But that doesn't means that you would continuously getting traffic from those links. And PR is basically used for branding as PR but traffic is whole and sole another matter to work on. And once it was the case that High PR websites were getting good SERP but now you can see websites with no PR and doing great in SERP so no more the scene is similar. If you want to get working for traffic you want to optimize your website for your targeted keywords. Search and social media optimization will give you great traffic and that too according to your niche
A pr increase can improve serps a little but this doesn't mean traffic. You can have a great pr and be in first position for keywords and still get hardly any traffic if its useless keywords.
not think so,a higher pr doesn't mean you have the better traffic.it depends on quality of your site's content
