Does 1.08% bounce rate Sucks or Rocks?

That's not a true bounce rate. You're either lying or your use something that is interferring with the stats like an iframe or maybe a refresh. Either way any bounce rate that low is false. Most have bounce rates of 20-50% and that's normal. If you're under 10% you're probably a top 1000 alexa site.

 

Yeah i'd be questioning the analytics implementation 1% bounce rate is unheard of tbh.

 

I sit around 15%, You must have a really good attention getting, I wonder if a URL redirect could stop a bounce percent though because its shown as going to another page?

Yep. A 1% bounce rate is, for all practical intents and purposes, outside the realm of possibility.

1% Bounce rate is not just good, its great as well as awesome. You must be proud of having a site like that.

 

Does it suck or rock? Honestly, with not so much as a backlink I'm struggling to see what the thread starter's angle is here. Clearly the claim is nonesense, but the motives are unclear. At best, this puts me in mind of those pointless e-mails telling me Bill Gates is giving away his fortune and I'll get a slice if I forward the e-mail to all my mates and waste their time as well as my own. I can't believe I'm even typing in here.

 

He probably just wants attention. I'd bet on it, as it's almost impossible to discern any other motive.
...In any case, as you noted, if this guy really does have The Best Page in The Universe we would have seen a link on here by now...

The only websites that get that much traffic with an extremly low bounce rate are PORN sites. i have seen the bounce rates under .50 percent on some because they are so highly targeted.

Yes 1.08% bounce rate is VERY very very good Most people have like 20-40% Bounce Rate on traffic from Social Networks and Social Bookmarking you could write an e-book and sell it

 

Could anyone tell me ways to lower my bounce rate? I just started a site and set up google analytics and I don't totally understand all the info. I think my bounce rate is ususlly about 45%-50%. I know it should be better but I am not sure how.

 

I seriously can't help but think that a 0-1% bounce rate is only the product of some automated system designed specifically and put in place by the webmaster to shape statistics. Think about it for a moment: a bounce rate that low means basically everyone who visits the site visits at least one other page. OK, if it's a directory, or search engine, or wikipedia, when you visit the site, it is natural that you visit a second page (at least - to submit or search). However, add that to the ridiculously elevated 87+ pages per visit, and you kind of have to question the validity of the results (or whether they were the result of actual people visiting a site). I think you're doing fine for a new site. Just work on a way to fine-tune landing page content and links to give visitors a compelling reason to navigate deeper (and respond to their original serach request).
