Hello, I want to announce our new PDF (document) search engine with some unique features based on Google API. PDFSearcher.com is a free PDF search engine that is able to find any PDF document (manuals, newpapers, articles, product specifications, ebooks and documentation) available online. Search for documents is easy and free and results are accurate due to the fact that PDFSearcher.com is the only engine that allows searching within the text of PDF files not only keywords (of domain, file etc). Now this is quite a nifty tool! Wow Suggestions: - Offer jump/quick navigation between page counts eg "1 2 3 4 5 next" OR "previous 7 8 9 10 11 12 next" - How do you rank results? Or does Google rank it and you just present the results?
Thanks for comments, kingtony! - this will be implemented in the next release (also results per page will be 16) - we also rank results based on PDFsearcher popularity and will also introduce star rating and starred results will show first! Check also PDFbox feature where users can save (recommend) matched results (good ebooks) for future refference => PDF manuals/books/guide database will be created, now it is in BETA (save results but can not see entire database yet) By far most usefull feature and unique is that you are able to search phrase/words in PDF document text => far better results and matches. But not many people use it properly eg: Search keyword: VW GOLF In text: repair manual (+ year) or any combination like this! Cheers!
Nice one, Seems to work OK, but I think when your able to recommend/sort them into categories it will get a lot better... So long as enough people take the time to do the sorting. Cheers James

If you can segregate PDF files into categories, it will be much more helpful for people to search/browse on relevant topics.
Thanks for comments. This is the plan to add interesting finds (from users and admin) in PDFbox based on category then users can browse any stored PDF books and rate/share them with friends. Also search in results and convert to text is really interesting, we will include all this on the new site FindPdf.net ! Regards, R.
