I would appreciate confirmations on the below name & if it is the prime term, especially if you are a native speaker of French. Thanks! Medecins - Doctors in French
I speak french as a second language, and most people use the term "docteurs" however "médecines" is also used. Celui qui exerce la médecine. < médecine "One who exercises/is in the practice of medicine" Celui qui a obtenu le plus haut grade d'une faculté. Docteur en médecine. < docteur "One who obtained the highest grade in a faculty. Doctor of medicine"
They are right. (I'm french-canadian!) Docteur(s) is the only way to write it in french! Good Luck anyway!
Sorry but the correct French word is "medecin" (more frequently used than "docteur")...the word "medecine" is RAAAAARELY used cuz the correct word for that word is "medicaments" (with an accent aigu) Source: lived, went to university and worked in France 7+ years
[La] médecine = medical science or profession (global sens) [... de la] medecine = some remedy True that it's rarelly said: more an academic & ancient way of talking (maybe my parents or grand-parents was using that every day! lol)
