Docman, Joomla and security. Please help

    Hey all...

    I am reinstalling Docman because I am having a lot of troubles with the last version of Joomla and few components. Few of them had security problems.

    I am reinstalling DOCMAN on a new fresh Joomla 1.0.11. I would like to make sure I can work with Docman easily with no problems while having it lock for hacking.

    Probably people are using this popular component and can help me out... What do I need to check ?

    I wonder if people still using Docman? with 1.5.x? anyone? thoughts on security?

    Actually, I am looking for an ACL solution to protect docman categories and want to allow access to premium (paid) subscribers only. Any help?

    What kind of security problems did you have?
    Is docman still the best download component for Joomla?
