Considering I make more in a week than they do working at McDonalds for a month, no... not weird at all :p

In New York it's kind of normal as there are some many consultants.

well i think most mature people do not mind how you work. they understand you are working anf trying hard to accomplish something by trial and error and success methods online or anywhere else.

BUT years back, my friends think I am wasting time and working online is for what they called "losers""nerds".

i do what I love and I dont mind about what others think :)

Working on the internet is weird! 'Weird' just means different. The so-called normal friends of mine spend their workdays getting screamed at by bosses, have incredible work-loads, have insane deadlines and get peanuts in return. Thank you... I'm good with 'weird'

Same here. In fact I go to college and one of my professors asked what I do for a living. I told him what my other job was, which is PT work and that my 2nd job was blogging. He said anything relatively done via the net for money is not a job but a hobby that earns you chump change or pocket money.

    Same here...

They consider it so unimportant, coz working from home always doesnt have a great impression...

According to majority, going to office and working for a 9-5 job is always given much appreciation.. Coz that is safe and risk-free...

I suggest that a person go do a day job and do the IM thingy part time in the beginning... Work hard and persevere..

Once your part time income is consistent and higher than your full time job, say good bye to the full time job, and develop your IM biz.... Hire people... make it big!

    Just my thoughts...

    Rk
    :)

They laughed at me too until I showed them my daily earnings. In one week I make more then they make in 4 months at their job.

OMG I thought I'm just the only one who gets this type of bullying. Yeah, they kinda look down on me 'coz I spend most of my time trying to find ways to earn money online. I guess it's because I'm an engineer like them and they're all working as "engineers" while I prefer to write. They would give me that look like I'm no good or that they are such high beings that I should bow my head to them. Come on now! I earn more than twice what they earn plus I have my own business and a life aside from their jobs. LOL

Yes, my friends don't understand what I do or why I do it, and it doesn't help to have made $5.50 in the last 6 months.
