Do kids in your city still go trick or treating.I live in a small town and no one does it.People are so afraid their kids are gonna get kidnapped they dont let them do it i guess.
I'm not in the US so it's half-hearted here, the big walmart-like companies are desperate for it to be a thing so they can sell more tat. You certainly don't get adults dressing up the way it's portrayed over there.
We live in a well-lit suburban neighborhood. The neighborhood, itself, has a fair amount of kids, but we also see minivans dropping off kids from other areas into our "welcoming" neighborhood throughout the night. We get between 100 and 130 kids every Halloween. A bit OT, but we buy full-sized candy bars in bulk from a warehouse store to give out on Halloween. Over the years, the kids from previous years remember us as the house that gives out "big" candy bars, instead of the bite-sized bars that most give out. We will often see one costumed kid elbowing his/her buddy with an "I told you so" when getting a full-sized candy bar from us. Anyway, that is why I know how many kids we get every year because we know how many big candy bars we bought beforehand compared with what is left after Halloween is over.
