Windows XP is quite stable after 7 years of windows updates. Along came Vista with many annoying features that gave it a black eye right off the bat. Part of the bad rep is that OEM manufacturers installed it on barebones PCs without sufficient RAM to support it. Vista was significantly improved by the recent service pack release but its reputation precedes it and even though improved, its reputation is tarnished. People complained to Microsoft about Vista and Bill Gates made a list. He created Win7 by taking Vista and fixing the complaint items. Consequently, 7 is much better. One burning issue still remains for me. I have XP Pro and cannot do a direct upgrade to Win 7 without doing a clean install. A clean install involves wiping the old setup completely and starting fresh with Win7. I have a lot of data and don't want to start over. It looks like I will be forced to upgrade to Vista, XP-Vista>Win7 then upgrade again to Win7 because that is possible where an XP>Win7 upgrade is not. I love Microsoft (sic).
The only reason my wife uses Windows at all is for Quickbooks, and that's on XP. It runs just fine as it is so, no, like most people, we have no need for Win7.
drhowarddrfine ur sig is a bit funny, specially about IE and virus , man, u install Win 7 I mean clean install and use it for 1 month without any antivirus or firewall lets see if IE is virus magnet or no
Hi All I don't know what all the fuss is about between XP and Windows 7 Windows 7 Pro and Ultimate give you XP Mode FREE which gives you a fully licensed copy of XP SP3 virtual machine where you can still run your XP apps in Windows 7. Regards
Hi, zenalisha here, this is correct that everyone use new technologies for further enhancements but new software technologies will suffer new techniques to use them. A un professional guy can be faced some problems to do that.
