Seems to be pretty split down the middle but from what I am hearing, sig links are definetly more productive and important.

I do sometimes visit the website if Avatar interest me. But I dont think buying avatar space is worth.

Sure I notice the avatars. I think they are more noticable than the sig links, because it's a picture and not just text. It's going to stick in your mind better... And I do visit the sites. When I keep seeing the same avatar over and over again, I get curious about what it is and I go check it out.

I have sold my avatar 3 times now, and nobody has ever given me an ad to advertise in my avatar spot.!!

I do go to the avatars site if its catchy enough. And also it is helpful because it helps you kinda memorize the logo of the website/company.

Ultimately depends on the picture. If one member posts more than normal and I recognize the person, I will certainly notice their avatar each time they post. I usually don't look at usernames.

Thanks for all of the response everyone, keep it coming.

Seems that the majority does not visit sites based on an avatar unless they really are attracted to the image or respect the member.

Keep voting so that we know just how valuble avatar space is to buy/sell/trade..
