A friend suggent me to use Yahoo Answers! to promote my software, just show the name of the products or the links of the website is OK. That sounds easy. Have you ever use it? What is the result?

Some people use this as means to get linked back to your site which has the product offered.

Yeah, I also started to do this. But I don't it is a good way to do. It indeed bring some traffic for our website, but it has bad effect for our figure.

Yahoo answer is used to be a good way to build up both links and traffics. However, please be noted that Yahoo Answer put much more restrict lately due to Spam attempt by webmasters around the globe. Your account would be easily to be banned just one report about your answer. :p Weird

I've received some decent traffic from Yahoo Answers and I'm sure that at least a few of my conversions have come from that traffic. It's definitely not going to work as your sole source of traffic however and it's not real valuable for backlinks anymore like it used to be.

you will be slapped hard if you try to manipulate yahoo answers. get on it slow and let the traffic take care of itself.

I agree with you. I have tried it. When I add any links in my answers, my account was banned immediately.

I found the exact same thing. Not much result now and I believe the links are actually "nofollow'.

If you are going to use yahoo answers set up a new account. If you get the top answer a few times any jealous competitor can 'report' you and you'll get your account closed - that's it; no worthwhile appeal against it.
