Do you use your own name in the name field of a business/website account?

Ive just done my first tweet for a business account, at first i had the website name in place in the name field then changed it to my own name, do you do the same?

I think its probably best having my own name in there, as i tweeted before changing it to my real name, will that first tweet keep the website name or will it change to my name?

When it comes to Twitter, I tend to use the website/company name as the name of the account. It really comes down to how you want people to perceive the tweets as an individual or company, which viewers tend to see different.

If it's a website account, better to use the website name as it would help you advertise the site's name as well.

Company's name or the website's name is always better

Brandon. You have summed the question up with your answer - it depends on how you wish to be perceived, personally, I have my own Twitter ID - @METrident6407, which I shall be using all the time after I retire from Full Time Employment on April 20th, plus a further two ID's - @NottsOnline is my personal work ID and @Getuonline is the one I maintain for the company I work for.

To clarify, are you all talking about the name in the name field or the twitter handle itself?

if the purpose would be for your company to get noticed, better to use your company name. That's the way do it.

I suppose it would depend on what name is most recognizeable... I'd use MaxBounty over my personal name for this reason. More people recognize MaxBounty over Jessica Bertrand. :)

Own name or company name .....it depends on the nature of the business and how do you want your follower recognize you.
