Do You Use Twitter To Promote Your Website or Blog

I was wondering if anyone uses Twitter to promote their website or blog? If so, has Twitter generated good traffic and/or produced any sales.

    Thanks,
    Eric

Twitter works well for generating traffic, but conversions from Twitter users can be hard to come by. The majority of Twitter users are Internet Marketers themselves so it's becoming more difficult by the day to convert people from Twitter into sales.

Seeing as my website is based on Twitter, it works hand-in-hand that I should advertise on Twitter. The viral advertising is the best capability of Twitter.

Yes, i am trying to get more followers but so far there is no great traffic from twitter. Looks it will take time to achieve a constant flow of traffic from twitter. For that we have to spend more time twitting & twitting. But in reality, having more number of related followers really helps you to promote your web site. You could take your brand image into twitter and that helps well established web sites, not for beginners.

Finally, i would say if you work more on twitter in the right direction you will get back more advantages from twitter. But some experts are saying that twitter is waste of time !

I think that Twitter is a good tool for generating traffic, but the competition is really tough. You really have to offer something very special if you want succes with twitter. The reason for that is that there is SO many internet marketers on twitter trying to promote their products there, so it is hard to get the buyers to be your followers.

My best advise is to spend your time somewhere else...Twitter will not give you the highest pay-off for your time. And that was the reason we all became internet marketers - Spend as little time as possible and making as much as possible.

The key with Twitter is being engaged and interactive. You need to have people looking for your posts. It's like an email list - if you never contact them, you have no rapport, so when you send a promotion to them, the conversion is poor. You need to build a rapport with your followers. :)

Twitter is becoming great for blogs especially when a lot of people retweet your post which can generate some decent backlinks and additional traffic so yes its def something you want to get involved with an integrate into your website.

Twitter is certainly qute a powerful tool. I have used it for a long while now with very good results. The main key is to keep it natural and don't spam.
    Nice Day:):):)
